La Bastide d'Engras

This picturesque south-facing house situated in the tiny village of La Bastide d'Engras was for more than 200 years a ’bergerie’ full of sheep.  Over the last 40 years it has been renovated to become a lovely holiday house.  It is secluded within its own courtyard, with the a 4m x 8m swimming pool a few steps from the living area.

The house is 700m south of the village bordered by vineyards and the edge of the oak forest.

The village itself, dominated by a medieval chateau, is basically a farming community with a post office, a mairie and  stylish renovated houses.

Less than 2 km away is the little village of St. Laurent-la-Vernede which has a bakery and a small general store.

St. Quentin La Poterie (7Km away), famous for its community of potters. It also boasts a butcher, a small supermarket and many bakeries.  There are several excellent and reasonably priced restaurants in the area.

The local wine cooperative is not to be missed as it produces excellent quality wine at unbelievable prices!
